Hi Everyone! It will be 5 weeks for me this Wednesday! I'm feeling better all the time, but it's been a long 5 weeks! (Actually, the time flew...but I went through a lot in that time!). Here is a link to my Flickr account to see my photos. Click on link below, then click on "Before" set of photos on the right hand side, then come back to click on the "After" set of photos. I hope this link works for you. The pics were all taken in St. Louis, before I came home.

Let me know if you can't get link to work.

Thanks!

Hi Radiogirl

Congratulations! You look awesome & so straight! Dr. Lenke is amazing isn't he? I am now about 14 weeks out--it just gets easier and easier manage. And. . . once in a great while I actually "forget" about all my hardware and life seems kind of normal.

Hi Laura,
I have to jump in too, congratulations!:D I swear I must be the biggest 50 yr old baby here. Every time I read good news, I tear up, and everytime I hear anyone struggling in any way, I tear up.

In a way we are all on the same team, playing different positions. I know that's a weird comparison. It's so easy to relate to people you don't know personally, but you've been in that position as well.

So happy for you,
Shari

OMG!!!!!! Cool pictures Dear!! Isn't it a shock to see how straight and beautiful our backs look now. I still check mine every now and then to make sure it's still straight...I know - kinda silly huh? But, WOW - it's truly a miracle!!! You're ahead of me, I haven't posted my pictures yet. Okay, now I will get on it and get it done, I promise.
Thanks Dear Laura......those are truly amazing pictures!!!

Thanks everyone. It just seems to keep getting better everyday. I'm thrilled. I do still have a little pain in my left hip when I try to stand up perfectly straight, but that will most likely go away in time, like all the other little pains and pings. If anyone has any questions, or if I can help at all just let me know. We are lucky to have our Scoli Family on here. :)

Just beautiful! What a thrill it must be for you. It's like magic what great surgeons can do nowadays. Having scoliosis sucks, but unlike some disease processes, at least, this is one medical science really has made astonishing strides in managing it.

And godwilling, better and better with time!

If Quasimodo had lived today. he might have been a hunk instead of a "hump" ;)

Thank you for sharing those photos. My thoracic curve is 65 degrees (lumbar is around 50) and my surgery is scheduled for June 17. It makes me feel so much better about my surgery to see your pics. Glad to see you are doing so well.

Dr. Lenke sure did a fantastic job of “untwisting” you, Laura. You must be so thrilled. Congratulations on your excellent outcome. I’m sure you’ve given hope to many here who are exploring surgery.
