  • Wow, it's here already

Wow, it's already the week of my surgery. Tomorrow is my last day at work. Then Wednesday, relax, manicure, pedicure, pack my bag and we head to Royal Oak to stay the night, Thursday surgery day!!
You guys have all helped me come to a calm this week. This forum was such a comfort, inspiration, and answer book.
My husband is going to come on and post an update after my surgery for me. And I can't wait until I am back home like Lynette, Laura, and Melissa and posting myself.
Thanks again for all of the support!!

To me, Anne's post says it all. It's just one day in your life, then it's simply a matter of regaining your strength and healing. All the very best for a 100% successful surgery and a smooth recovery. We'll be thinking of you and looking forward to your husband's first post.

And, you have to trust the professionals. They know what they're doing. They'll take very good care of you. It's one day closer (finally) to your recovery on this long road we've traveled. Just knowing it's finally over is a world of weight off your mind, believe me. It took me 3-4 days to even realize it was really done.

That is such a great way to look at it. Just one day, I can do that. And then it's being in the present and getting stronger each day. I have tremendous confidence in my surgeon and that I do think is what is keeping me from worrying about the surgery and really worrying more about the recovery. So all those looking to do surgery in your future, choosing a doctor you have confidence in and believing he is the best dr. you could choose is so important.
                    Here's to one day.....!

I've been thinking of you each day Shari and I'm excited for you. I'm so glad you have that nice calm, and yes pamper yourself the day before. I know that your surgery will be smooth and successful, and then the nurses will nurture you till you get back home. Can't wait to hear the great news from your hubby.
