It’s one of the only two therapies I have heard that could regenerate the vertebrae discs. Could it be?

Yuk! That blog is all about escort girls!

I wouldn't trust a prostitute with my spinal health

It's OK, I Googled for more info on Breuss Massage. Here's what I found:

"The Breuss Massage is actively replacing in a sense a whole and healthy full night sleep by stretching the Spine and Using natural Oil in the Process the discs are nourished like the sponge given water. In this relaxed state the Spine also can be safely and painless re-aligned."

I don't really understand how this works I'm afraid, because the spinal discs are on the anterior part of the spine - you can't reach them from the back. So I don't see how massaging oil into the spinal muscles at the back would somehow allow the oil to sink right through the skin and paraspinal muscles and then travel around to the front of the spine in order to somehow enter the discs.

If anyone can explain how it is supposed to work I'd be fascinated to learn, because it sounds completely impossible.

Physical impossibility is no impediment whatsoever to the charlatan.

A good test for whether something is abject nonsense is if you try to make up some patently absurd claims about a treatment, no matter how hard you try to be absurd, the actual claims are even more absurd. In other words, you can't parody it.

Rain drop therapy and Clear's "mix-fix-set" are in this category and so is this Breuss massage I see.

                    Yep Jess.

Some folks can't think even one step ahead. If the claims were true then nobody would need surgery.

But they can't even think one step ahead.

Sorry, Flerc It sounds like it would be a nice relaxing massage and that would probably help relieve muscular pain but I'd be very wary of trusting its efficacy as a treatment for disc problems.

                              Flerc

Your efforts deserve praise, and you post in a foreign language. It truly is commendable....

Try not to worry too much about your daughter. Once we get over the shock of diagnosis, we adapt in our own ways and become quite resilient. Some of us adjust in different ways, and might go through pain spells, but mostly we are content and happy individuals... When we are young, life has so much to offer that scoliosis drops to the bottom of our thoughts, and don’t think about it too often. At least that was how I adapted.

I know a person with scoliosis and her daughter was diagnosed with scoliosis. I asked her what she was going to do? She told me "I don’t know". Ive been thinking about that for a while now, and I can honestly say, I wouldn’t know what to do either. Scoliosis can be easy or it can be a tough situation. I guess its all in the way we handle it on a personal level....Parent or patient. Its best to keep it easy.

Growing up knowing that some day I would need surgery all these years, was at times very scary. I eventually accepted it. I tried all sorts of alternative methods through the years, and used it for pain control. I always knew that surgery was the only thing that was going to halt my curves. Until there is some sort of cure, which will probably take quite a bit more time, I wouldn’t worry about it so much. Its not worth it. Take it one day at a time.

We do appreciate your posts on all these methods. I didn’t think that there were so many, and from all over the world. It just amazes me how many "quasi","pseudo" scientific methods there are out there. It is beneficial to know about these things, and to bring to this forum.

We also need a good laugh sometimes...
