My surgery was on the 9th of febuary and to be honest the day of I was very nervous! But after they put me out all the nevousness went away! When I woke up it felt like I was just in the operation room. Turns out I was in ICU and I was very medicated. I don't remember the recovery room at all.
They kept me an extra day because I upchucked the liquid meds on my 5th day, bummer! But I am home and laying in my bed as I type this using my iPod touch! I'm am glad this is getting behind me!
Thank you for all the blessings!

You sound really upbeat Katlin. Keep it up! The more positive you are, the quicker you will heal. Best wishes of a smooth recovery.:)

You're doing so well!
Good work!
You will be back in school soon. After a few months, you will forget you had this surgery I think. It's why it is hard to get kids to respect the physical restrictions... they feel normal very early out.

Glad to hear you're doing so fantastically!
The time *before* surgery is definitely nerve-wracking: Funny how knocking you out makes alllll the worries go away, huh? :)

And, I'm one of those light weights too - usually right before surgery they'll give me something to sorta relax me. Heck, that puts me to sleep right off the bat. But, I'm usually awake in the OR just before they put me completely under. I remember for my knee surgery most recdently I told them I was impressed with all the attention I was getting with so many people in the OR for such a little bitty knee. Next thing I know I'm waking up listening to my hubby. What a beautiful site he was!!!!!!

Mercifully for me, the pre-op knocked me right out instantly. I don't remember going to theatre. Woke up in ICU about 9 hours later.

Thank you for all the replys and stories everyone :) each day seems to get easier and easier to get up and get around. The mornings are just rough for me because of the immobility from sleeping ^^;
